Mingyuan JI - Writer, Photographer and Life Observer
It may be that the gulfs will wash us down:
It may be we shall touch the Happy Isles,
And see the great Achilles, whom we knew
Though much is taken, much abides; and though
We are not now that strength which in old days
Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;
One equal temper of heroic hearts,
Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will
To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

In 2019, I graduated from Fudan University with BA in German Language and Literature and a minor major in Journalism.
Shanghai makred an extrodinary spritiral home for me as it is without any doubts, the most open minded city in the country. With the international vibes I grow interests in edging trend of social media journalism, and also spent more time focusing on the shifting patterns of public relations both in and outside China.
It was in Shanghai, I witnessed the innovations of mobile payment as delivery and take-away apps quickly became part of people's essential life in urban areas.
Inspired by the atmosphere of creativity in this great city, I found my own passion and had the luck of putting it into practice, namely the JCL studioi. It was during that time I relaized that I was not ready as a professional communicator and a brand helmsman, from both practice and knowledge perspectives.
So, in 2020, under the great uncertainty of where the future may lead me, I chose to persuit my academic goals at the University of Westminster in London.
It was a new beginning, despite all the disadvantages of online learning, I was deeply moved of how people stayed together while overcoming the physicial distance and being strong and responsible together.
At the top of this webpage I present one of my favourite poems, which encourages me through and through. After a year of training and learning, I graduated from the University of Westminster with a MA degree in Public Relations, and now is time for new adventures. Bear me to use one of my recent poems to end this brief introduction:
Chivalry jumped out of a sudden,
Modern life rushed out of nowhere.
London,
to be or not to be,
where is my Oyster?
